ABOUT ME

Sara Mascio is an Independent Educational Consultant excited about guiding you on your journey to find the perfect college.  She is a UCLA graduate and received her College Counseling certification with distinction from UCLA's Extension program.  She worked as a Director of online product development at a major financial services company for many years. She recently served as Executive Director for the Castro Valley Educational Foundation (CVEF), where she currently serves as Scholarship Chairman and VP on the Board.  Sara is also a College Coach for ScholarMatch, an organization that makes college possible for underserved youth.

Sara has three children - one in high school, and two that graduated from UCLA and UC Davis.

Parents and students are overwhelmed and anxious about the competition, costs, and stress of the entire college application process. How do we know which colleges to apply to? How do we apply so that my application stands out?

It's not that complicated if we focus on what is best for the student, and not the demands of the colleges.

We'll use some self-discovery tools to learn what interests and excites you, and help you become life-long learners.  We'll create a customized plan with easy steps and timelines to first find your dream schools and then illuminate your strengths in the application.
